Maximum transition payment increased

The transition payment is subject to a maximum (Article 7:673 of the Dutch Civil Code). This maximum can be increased every year. As of Jan. 1, 2023, the maximum severance pay is EUR 89,000 gross or one gross annual salary, whichever is higher. In 2022, the maximum severance pay was EUR 86,000 gross.

As of 1 January 2022, the maximum transition payment is EUR 86,000 gross or a gross annual salary, whichever is higher. In 2021, the maximum transition payment was EUR 84,000 gross.
